Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions I get before a shoot to help you know what to expect.

FAQ

What areas do you serve?

I’m based in Gauteng and serve the whole province, including Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, and Johannesburg. I’m also happy to travel to other areas outside of Gauteng. Travel costs will apply for these shoots and will be quoted individually.

Where do the photo sessions take place?

I love shooting in natural outdoor settings that allow pets to be themselves. I have a few favourite locations around Gauteng, including off-leash dog parks and beautiful leashed spots where pets can stay under control. I can edit out leashes if needed.
I don’t currently shoot in studios, but I do use certain private venues that charge a small location fee. This will be added to your shoot price. I’m also happy to shoot at a location of your choice if you have somewhere special in mind.

What if my dog isn’t well trained?

That’s completely fine. I understand that every pet has its own personality and quirks, and I always work with patience and care to capture them as they truly are. My goal is to make the experience enjoyable and stress-free for both you and your pet.

How do payments work?

To secure your booking, a small deposit is required. The remaining balance is payable on the day of the shoot, after the session. This helps ensure that everything is confirmed and secure for both of us.

How and when will I receive my photos?

You’ll receive your edited photos within one week after the shoot. The images will be delivered via an online gallery, where you can easily view and download your photos in high resolution.

Can I order prints or canvases?

Yes. Once you’ve received your gallery, you can let me know which photos are your favourites. I offer high-quality prints and canvases that can be ordered directly through me. You’re welcome to enquire about canvases and pricing at any time.

What should I bring to the shoot?

I’ll bring water and some treats, but if your pet has a favourite treat or toy, please bring that along. It helps your pet feel comfortable and can be great for getting their attention during the shoot.

What if there is bad weather?

If the weather isn’t looking great on the day of your session, we’ll keep an eye on the forecast. If it looks like it will rain during your shoot, I’m happy to reschedule for another suitable day.

What types of animals do you photograph?

I photograph dogs, cats, horses and most other pets you can think of. Just let me know beforehand what you have in mind, and we’ll make a plan that suits your pet’s needs.

Can I be in the photos too?

Absolutely. I love capturing the bond between pets and their owners. If you’d like to be part of the shoot, we’ll include some beautiful moments of you and your pet together. I’m also happy to focus only on your pet if you prefer.
